Instagram, IGTVs, Facebook, Twitter, and other social media platforms have become indispensable in our daily lives. But it’s always ‘Snap time’ when we publish content about our daily lives. It includes the want to see what other people are doing every day.
But sometimes, people want to know what’s happening (primarily through Stories) without letting others know.
It is a common question, and I have heard this many times: how do you anonymously view someone’s Instagram story?
Well, here is how you can view someone’s private Instagram stories invisibly:
- First, go to the Instagram app.
- Touch another story that appears next to your target story that you want to see.
- Carefully move your touch to the right side of the screen without removing your contact.
- Do not lift your finger from the screen.
- After watching the story, move your touch again to the previous story.
- That’s it; the user will never notice that you saw their story.

How to Sneak on Private Instagram Stories? (Invisibly).
Note: You must have to follow the account to make it work.
Step 1: On your smartphone, visit the Instagram app.
Step 2: You’ll see all the tales at the top of the page. (Before implementing, look at the graphic below and read this step through to the finish.)
Here you can see two stories in the image: one unique content you wish to view without telling them. Another story comes from someone else, whose content comes next in the sequence.
So touch on another person’s story on the left side. You’ll see that the top-left time meter has stopped moving.
Step 3: Now, carefully move your touch to the right side of the screen without removing your contact. You’ll now be able to see that user’s story.
Do not let go of your grip. Instead, move your thumb to the left when you’ve viewed practically all of the story, and then leave the grip when you’re on the other individual’s story.
The technique we used here is to take a look at the content. Of course, you won’t be able to watch the entire plot, but you’ll get a good idea of what’s happening.
When you exit the story, you’ll notice that the ring surrounding that person’s profile photo is still colored, indicating that you haven’t seen their tale yet.

How to view public Instagram stories anonymously?
Follow the steps below to peek at the story of someone whose Instagram profile is public.
Step 1: Look up and write down the login for that account. (Hold your finger on the person’s tale thumbnail.) A pop-up will emerge within the screen. You may see the whole username here. You may also visit the user Profile to check the entire username).
Step 2: Open Insta-stories using your browser and input the account’s username in the search box.
Step 3: Go down the page. It will show the Instagram story of the account. There is a Save option underneath the tale to download it. A play option will appear if the content includes a video. If there are many stories, I will post all of those here.

Method using third-party apps.
You may also use the web to see people’s Instagram Stories privately. To do so, install this Chrome Extension and begin browsing stories; the user will never be aware of it.
Install the extension, go to Instagram’s online/desktop version, then log in using your username and password. After that, you may sneak peek at other people’s Instagram Stories.
You may also see people’s tales anonymously by using this web application. Type in the Instagram ID of the person you wish to check and then select the search option. It will show the stories of the individuals, and you will be able to view the story and download it.
Use “Repost Stories,” this app is available on the App Store for iOS users. Visit Instagram, log in to your profile after the app has been downloaded, and look for the user whose content you wish to see.
You’ll see a folder with all the posts and articles the individual in question made in the previous 24 hours. Without the person’s knowledge, you may choose the folder and examine the stories individually. You may also opt to repost or store the articles.
You may use another app, “Blind Story,” for Android. Download it and sign in using your Instagram account. You’ll now be able to search for different profiles. Search for the individual whose tale you’d want to watch, and you’ll find highlighted stories here. You may view the Stories without them knowing by tapping on them.
Before you start using the attempted hacks we discussed on your Instagram account, it’s important to remember that these solutions are primarily intended for entertainment purposes and should not pose a danger to anyone’s safety or personal information.

Next time your friend asks you, can you look at someone’s Instagram story without them knowing? You can answer positively.
So, without the user’s knowledge, you can view private and public Instagram stories. What I have shown you in this guide are technical ways. However, this method is not technical, and anyone can do it. This method is – to open a fake profile.
Another equally ridiculous option is to watch the Instagram story you usually do and then quickly block that individual. You shouldn’t unblock him for the following 24 hours. The story length is around 24 hours. Also, if the story you watched is highlighted by the user, in that case, it can be online for 365 days straight. So if you unlock that user within this period, they will get the alert that you watched their tale. I warned you this is not a technical approach but rather a foolish one.
