Building a website is essential to starting your own business online. In this modern era, we all search for information through online websites & blogs. Thus, a professionally designed website for your business is critical.
Now the question is, why do you need a One-page website? It’s simple; a One-page website is tremendously helpful as a landing page. Perhaps, you do not want to show lots of information at the beginning; in that case, the one-page website is a perfect fit.
In this article, I will show you how to create a one-page website for free without knowing any programming language, including HTML, CSS, Java, etc. So, let’s get started.
Which platform is best for one-page website building?
It is a matter of debate as “best” is a subjective term that entirely depends on a person’s mentality, choice & needs. Still, I have selected some top website-building platforms for you here.
They offer pre-built templates. Thus, you won’t have to design a site from the start. In addition, they are all mobile-friendly and have 24/7 active support for their clients.

Though I reviewed several top website builder platforms in this article, one platform I forgot to mention there. It is, Mobirise. It is free to use for both personal & commercial purposes & excellent for static one-page or multiple-page website building. Basic steps: How to build a one-page simple site & host it online?
First, I will show you how to build a straightforward one-page site & download it. You may host this site on your local drive or host it online. If you are new to website building, there are some basic steps.
Step #1: Building block – headers.
After downloading, install it—log in with your social media or Google account. You will see a readymade sample website at the beginning. The good thing is if you are a newbie & don’t want to waste much time building a website, then edit this readymade sample to create your own.
Otherwise, you can add new blocks to your website. To do this, look at the right side + button. Here, you may see different types of building blocks for you to choose from. First of all, let’s talk about “Headers.” There are many free header blocks available for you to choose from. For example, I have chosen one & added it to the website. I have deleted other blocks as well.
Quick Note: You may benefit from this free one-page builder software if you have a small business and have budget limitations. They offer several professional-looking templates to get started. Therefore, you can build as many one-page websites as possible to showcase your business portfolio without investing a single coin.
Step #2: Watch the preview & download the website.
And finally, this is how it looks. Click on the “Eye” preview icon to watch a live preview in your browser.
It took me just 60 secs to build this website. I didn’t edit anything, though. Anyway, to host this website, you have several options. You can download it in your local drive & host it there, or you can download it & host it in an online hosting provider through cPanel. To download the website, click the “Publish” button on the top, then save it in your local drive.
As you can see, it is straightforward & easy to do, even for a newbie who has no idea about programming language or never built a website before.

Step #3: How to publish your website online.
It is straightforward. Just visit your cPanel. Click on the “File Manager.” Then upload all the files. That’s it. Now you can see your site to test it.
Advance steps: How to add multiple blocks & make it professional.
If you are not a newbie & don’t want to build a simple site as I did above. Then, I will show you how to make an advanced one-page website without knowing any programming.
Step #1: Add some advanced feature blocks to your website.
When it comes to advanced websites, we must add professional-looking blocks that we usually see on many websites. For example, let’s say you want to sell products online. In that case, choose some product blocks to showcase on your website. To do that, click on “Features” and select blocks to add.
Though there are many options for you here, I just picked some blocks to give you an example. If you do not plan to sell products, there are other blocks for you to choose from. If you have a project & want to build a site for it, then you have blocks for that purpose.
I suggest trying to add some blocks first, then testing out how it looks. Then, play around with it for some time; soon, you will be able to get a clear idea of how this works.
Step #2: Add some images & videos to make it professional.
Without beautiful, stunning images & videos, no website will look professional. It is the core element of your website. To add some photos & videos, click on “Images & Videos” on the right side & choose blocks that suit your needs.
There are sliders & gallery blocks available for you to choose from. If you want to showcase your images, then it is beneficial.
Step #3: Add the latest news & blog to your site.
Though you do not need a blog section for a one-page website, you certainly need the latest news section on your site. So you can create some extra pages to showcase the latest news & link back to your homepage.
Head to the “Content” menu to build the latest news section. Here are some other blocks for you to write news & articles. But first, you need to create some extra pages. How to do it? Simple, hover your mouse pointer on the left side & you will see the “Page” section. Here, you can create any amount of new pages for your website.
However, skip this part if you do not want to build a multiple-page website.
Step #4: Add team information & testimonials.
It could be another essential part of a one-page website. Without “Team” information & testimonials from your valuable existing clients, you cannot build a professional webpage. So, to do that, click on the “Testimonials” on the left. Then, you can pick some excellent professional-looking blocks according to your needs.
These are readymade blocks, so there is no need to do anything except edit the text & adding some images. The same goes for testimonial blocks. Next, add some inspiring comments from your existing clients.
Step #5: Add contact address & google map.
Adding contact information is a vital part of your website. You have several professional-looking contact blocks in your hand. Just choose one, whichever is best suited to your needs. Then edit those texts. You can also add a Google map to showcase your company office address on the website.

For mass awareness, social media marketing is an essential method. First, using a social media sharing block at the end of your one-page website is wise. Then, connect your Facebook, Twitter & other social media accounts to it.
Without a footer, no website will be complete. To complete your website, I suggest you add a professional-looking footer. You are lucky that you won’t have to do anything except drag & drop to add it. In most cases, especially in the WordPress website, you had to buy an expensive premium theme to get all of these, while using Mobirise is free.
Anyway, select the Footer section and add it. However, try to choose a small footer for this one-page website as you do not have other pages to link with.
That’s it. A completely professional-looking one-page website has been created. Just download it & open it using a browser. Take a look at it. To build this one-page site, I needed only 20 minutes. Of course, I didn’t add or edit any information. But even after doing all this, it wouldn’t take much time. You should be able to build & run your one-page site within 2-3 hours.
Conclusion.
Mobirise is one of the best free site builders available online. Of course, you can also use other site builders if you want. But, for newbies, Mobirise is best. One drawback exists, though, that is – you cannot build a blog with it. Thus, you must create a new page for your new blog post every time. Even after that, there is no login option available. It means you have to create & upload the entire website whenever you want to publish a new blog post.
Therefore, as you can see, this webpage builder is not idle for a blogging site. You have to create a static multiple-page or single-page site with it. The one-page website is idle for a landing page to draw the audience’s attention. If you have a consultancy business, you can create a one-page website to showcase your team & expertise. Finally, the main advantage you are getting by using Mobirise is that you do not have to learn the programming language, and there is no need to know anything about web development.
